Impact Story
Sometimes the difference between stability and crisis is knowing someone cares.
“A local Evanston family facing eviction did not know where to turn. Through emergency rent assistance, food support, and compassionate encouragement from SVDP volunteers, the family was able to remain in their home and avoid homelessness while regaining hope for the future.”

Our SVDP “conference” is more than a volunteer group. We work together to support our neighbors while also building friendship, community, and shared purpose among our members.
Serving with SVDP brings the deep satisfaction that comes from treating others with dignity, compassion, and respect while helping meet real needs in our community.
